U.S. Foreign Aid: Why do we give so much money to so many countries that hate us?

Check out the link above to see which countries receive foreign aid from the U.S. (and through the U.S.) from all those other countries out there that now fund the U.S.  Makes you realize those with the real “purse strings” in America (and outside of America using America as their go-between) stopped worrying about the plight of average Americans (like those living in Detroit) a long, long time ago.  However, there certainly looks like there are a whole lot of Muslim and African nations who are benefiting from American tax dollars (and rich European tax Euros) though!  And these figures do not even include military funding!  So this realization begs the following questions: 1) Why is so much U.S. and E.U. tax dollars being funneled into anti-western Third-World nations?;  2) Are we really trying to bribe our way towards global domination and control?; 3) Is this strategy being done to protect the people of Western nations, or to increase the profits of a select few?

I guess if you think about it, if you are a rich country like Luxembourg, Belgium, or Switzerland, or an influential country like China, or Japan, or perhaps the World’s largest super power (i.e. the U.S.), and you want to manipulate political and economic decisions in resource wealthy Third-World nations to ensure further future profits from the extraction and sell of scarce resources, then the American Federal government would likely be a great intermediary for funneling your blood-money to the right war-lords so it would be less likely to be traced directly back to you!  Hence, it makes sense for the most powerful and perhaps now one of the most corrupt countries in the world to become the new War War II equivalent of Switzerland.

The 21 countries that receive more than $1 billion dollars a year from the U.S. in alphabetical order are Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, India, Israel, Kenya, Mozambique, Mali, Pakistan, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia. Afghanistan currently receives the most, with over $6 billion U.S. dollars being sent to that country each year.  The Taliban recently announced as soon as the U.S. military leaves the country later this year, they will retake the Nation.  Thus, where will that 6 billion dollars have gone?  Think of what we could do with over $30 billion dollars to improve our Nation if we just kept that money in the U.S.!  But then again, we can’t, after all, a lot of those tax dollars used to fund the ill-gotten gains of past, present, and future resource thieves operating within the Third-World is not our money in the first place, it is some other tax payers money, in some other country, that is doing far better than the U.S. financially.
