The United States, and other authoritarian governments of the world are attempting to limit access to the web, monitor use, and create new laws pertaining to public protesting by their citizens so they can thwart the power and influence of Arab-Spring-like social/political movements that threaten to topple their unjust regimes. American Constitutional values that have been the “beacon of light” for so many people in so many different countries, like freedom of speech, assembly, no unreasonable searches and seizures, right to privacy, they are all essential freedoms now becoming extinct in the new millennium in the name of ensuring safety, order, and maintaining government control even if that means suppressing civil liberties. The grand experiment – connecting the entire world via the computer – is virtually dead, or soon will be, if we let them get away with it. They would rather keep us in the dark, and maintain their control over us, then let us join together globally to create a better brighter future for the human species. Clearly, the people of this world have far too much in common, our grievances are universal. Thus, it does not serve the power elite’s goals for them to permit us to continue to surf the “world-wide web” together, organize, and demand our grievances be addressed, free of repressive government intrusions.
